United's financial situation was described as "tight" ahead of the summer window, but Ten Hag said that Rashford, who signed a new contract in July, will stay at Old Trafford.
"We didn't sign him last season for four years with the intention of selling him now," Ten Hag said at a press conference on Friday.
"He must be part of this project. It's not a subject we don't talk about."

"We really reached the next level in the season [after that]. Before that, it was difficult to judge us, we had a lot to overcome, red cards, being 1-0 down and then in that game [against United] I saw that it was really us getting into the new gear.
"The result didn't reflect that. Even though it was a home game for them, there were a lot of positives in our performance that we want to replicate. We can think about making some adjustments for next time."
